The Peterborough Chess Club was founded in 1893 and has a long history of fostering chess talent in Peterborough and surrounding areas. We provide a platform for chess players of all levels to come together and enjoy the game. Tuition is available and there are many opportunities to participate in competitive games.

Membership
Thinking of joining the club? Becoming a member is easy - simply turn up and complete a membership form. Visitors are welcome to attend club meetings initially without membership to get a feel for the club and its activities.
Membership fees

¹ For game rating and club match participation, ECF Bronze level membership would be required at £18 per annum
² Under 18 Junior membership is £5 / year
³ Under 18s cannot join the Conservative Club but a parent must join instead
Venue and meeting times
We meet at the Conservative Club, 77 Broadway, Peterborough PE1 4DA.
When do we meet?
- Thursday: 6:30pm - 10:30pm
- Exceptions: We do not meet on the first Thursday of each month, instead we meet on the following Sunday at 6:00pm.
